Washi tape comes in all sorts of colours shapes and sizes, and it’s not to pricey…

I brought my tape from Sainsburys for £4. It came in a box with 4 rolls (2 of each design), each 5m long – so you get quite a bit for your money. When I brought the tape I didn’t have a clear idea of what I was going to do with it, but now I’ve found lots of little bits and bobs to do with it.

Here are a few of the things you could do with washi tape to add a little more to your room!

One thing you could do with the tape is put it round the middle of a clear plastic cup. You could use it as a makeup brush holder. If you wanted to add something else to this idea you could put clear glass beads in the bottom, to hold the makeup brushes in. This will also help anchor the cup down.

Another thing you can do with washi tape is put it around the edge of tea lights or candles (just make sure you don’t light them with the tape as if may catch fire). This can make an otherwise boring tea light a bit more interesting!

The last idea is to uses the tape for note tags in a diary or for revision. You can right over the tape to make points stand out. This can make dull notes stand out!
